Position Vacant – Casual Trades Assistant (Cairns South)

Maxitool Australia is a locally owned business which specialises in the design and manufacture of mining and other bespoke equipment.

We are currently seeking a Casual Trades Assistant for our workshop in Edmonton.

Duties will include:-

• General cleaning and labour support across the workshop and yard
• Organising, cleaning and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace
• Pick up and delivery of equipment
• Safely operating a forklift to move and store materials and equipment
• Supporting the workshop operations
• Assist with routine repairs & maintenance of workshop equipment

Skills & Experience Preferred:

• Current drivers licence (required)
• Hard working and self-motivated
• Team player
• Punctual and reliable
• Dedicated commitment to safety & quality
• Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol test
• Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods
• Demonstrated experience as a trade assistant*
• Current forklift licence*

* This position may be suitable to a school leaver without experience if you are able to meet the other requirements

We are looking for an individual who displays a “Can Do” attitude, who can demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role.
