Position Vacant – Labour Hire Account Manager

Maxitool Mining is based in North Queensland and is a division of the Maxitool Group which was founded in 2007 to provide quality products and services to the mining and energy industries throughout Australia and abroad. Our reputation has been built on the successful delivery of projects that require mobilisation of skilled workforces and specialty plant to remote and often challenging locations.

Maxitool Mining provides diverse specialist services including mechanical maintenance, large scale scheduled outages, mill relines, and specialised labour hire.

 

The Position:

We are seeking a Labour Hire Account Manager to undertake daily management of Maxitool Mining Labour hire staff and associated clients. You will be responsible for the majority of ‘client facing’ work for our high-volume accounts, duties will include:

  • Maintaining current relationships with both Maxitool employees & site supervisors
  • Building new relationships as client positions change
  • Actively pursue new client opportunities
  • Scoping works and providing quotes to customers
  • Coordinating the provision of labour hire personnel to various sites (with support from logistics team)
  • Recruiting new personnel including shortlisting applicants, interviews &  reference checking
  • Managing employee rosters & timesheets
  • Working with accounts team to issue client invoices
  • Undertaking regular site visits
  • On call after hours for urgent issues, occasionally requiring duties after hours i.e. urgent backfill, incidents, etc

The role includes a strong focus ensuring the safety of assignments, in addition to business development with an expectation of client growth.

Experience/Skills Required:

To be considered for these roles you will reside in or around Cairns, Far North Queensland region and possess:

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as labour hire, staffing, recruitment, or account management an advantage
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and multitask, appropriately manage  conflicting priorities.
  • Good technical skills including use of various types of administrative, web-based computer programs including Microsoft Office, Adobe, work management software and document management software
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to think outside the square
